I wish that I was one of those girls who could say that I don’t have to do a thing to stay in shape. Instead I am a girl who works hard to achieve my goals. One of which would being my health. I really enjoy reading and learning about health and fitness. I believe that your health is a commitment, its something that you have to decide to do then continue to keep a positive lifestyle, clean diet and a daily excise routine. Believe it or not all three of these things have a huge impact on your every day life and compliment each other.
I haven’t always been familiar with what it takes to be and stay in shape. When your young health is not the first thing on your mind. Once the effects start to kick in from not being as active as a kid; realization hits! I had to make some changes! This is when I started to notice what body types appeal to me.I became fascinated and interested in what it took to have not only the look but the energy and smarts of some of the beautiful people that I have met or read about who have inspired me.
It wasn’t long after I found some great resources, for example any type of health magazine. One of my favorite is “Hers” (Muscle&Fitness). I also enjoy reading “Fitness Rx (For women)”,”Oxygen(Robert Kennedy’s, Women’s Fitness)”, “Shape” and “Fitness (Mind, Body + Spirit)”. Depending on your fitness goals you may have favorite of your own. “Hers” is my favorite because it is geared toward women who are at a higher fitness level then average who need striate to the point advice to get to the next level.
If I am not reading fitness magazines to learn new things about health, you will find my face in a good book. “Clean eating diet” is a great one to read! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the difference between good and bad food choices. There are also all kinds of resources on the net for a healthier lifestyle and they do not cost you a dime. I personally enjoy reading up on tips from people who inspire me, but there are a ton of other sites that have great information to offer.
When I made the decision to become a healthier person one of the best choices that I could have ever made was to hire a personal trainer. Its one thing to have a lot of knowledge about fitness but to have someone who is positive, a great motivator and more less a friend is a big help on those tough days. It’s always nice to have some one who believes in you by your side to give you that extra push to keep you focused on your goals as well as keeping you updated on your achievements. I feel blessed to have a wonderful trainer in my life who has helped me and I would hope that anyone who has strong fitness goals gets the same opportunity as I have.
